Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company was awarded a contract valued at 821,959,182 dollars by the United States Customs and Border Protection for P-3 aircraft maintenance and logistics support. The contract utilizes a combination of Cost Plus Incentive Fee, Firm-Fixed-Price, and Cost Plus Fixed Fee structures to provide full depot, intermediate, and organizational level maintenance for a fleet of 16 P-3 AEW and LRT aircraft. These aircraft are based at operations centers in Jacksonville, Florida, and Corpus Christi, Texas. The agreement includes a two-month phase-in period with an initial obligation of 3,910,043 dollars, followed by a base year and nine one-year options extending through September 30, 2019. The scope of work is performance-based, focusing on ensuring fleet operational availability for border security missions through comprehensive supply chain management via the CARMAC system and rigorous technical requirements for depot-level maintenance, including corrosion inhibition and structural inspections. Contractor performance is monitored through a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, with an incentive fee structure heavily weighted toward operational performance and depot management.
