PACKING MATERIAL

The contract specifies the procurement of packing material under solicitation SPE7L3-26-T-136C for three units with a delivery deadline 112 days after award. All packaging must comply with MIL-DTL-117, Type II, Class C, Style 1, requiring medium-duty, waterproof, greaseproof, and opaque bags to protect items susceptible to UV degradation, particularly those with Federal Supply Classifications 5330/5331 containing NSNs or LSNs. This packaging requirement applies to direct vendor delivery, foreign military sales, and stock shipments. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1 with zero non-conformances accepted unless otherwise stated, and unspecified attributes are treated as major with verification levels or AQLs assigned accordingly. The use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals is strictly prohibited, and any substitute chemicals must be submitted for approval unless explicitly permitted by the specification. Asbestos is absolutely forbidden in all supplied items, rendering any previously accepted part numbers containing asbestos unacceptable. Technical and quality requirements referenced by R or I numbers are governed by the DLA Master List, with the applicable revision determined by the solicitation or award date depending on the acquisition size. Compliance with Clause L30 and Provision 4 conditions is mandatory for approval of alternative materials, and all deliveries must meet the exacting standards without waiver.
