The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for upland improvements at Wreck Cove, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings, which will be provided during phase 2 of this process; and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and removal of dilapidated infrastructure in the area of the new work. Contractor to note that any creosote timber encountered will have to be disposed of at a provincially regulated waste disposal site. Demolition/removal also includes removal of wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, ladders, fenders and cleats (including cutting down concrete cleat block to deck elevation). 2. Infilling with new rock fill to create a parking lot expansion, complete with Class “A” and Class “B” granular topping. 3. Supply and installation of geotextile, treated plywood (on existing wharf), guiderail, filter stone and armour stone. The Contractor must begin work once the contract has been awarded and be completed eight (8) weeks later Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than seven (7) working days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.
