This is a Notice of Intent to award to a sole-source contractor. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole-source contract to Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. The USAF requires non-personal services for a base year with one (1) option year to provide parts washer services IAW the attached PWS dated 16 November 2020. Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. is the incumbent of the current parts washer service contract (contract# SP4500-16-D-0002) which was issued and managed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Service, Battle Creek, MI. DLA has made a decision not to issue a follow-on contract after this expires on November 30, 2020. Each organization utilizing this contract has to issue and fund the follow-on contract on its own. A follow-on award to any other source at this time would result in substantial unacceptable delays in fulfilling this requirement accumulating in work stoppage for multiple Squadrons. Any new vendor would be required to cross-match the current Safety-Kleen proprietary solvents being used in the washers. Additional costs to the government would include the acquisition and placement of new washers to replace the leased washers; removal of leased washers; removal of Safety-Kleen solvents and residue from government-owned washers; and testing and analysis on new solvents to ensure they meet the cleaning requirements. Please contact Theophilus Agyare at theophilus.agyare.2@us.af.mil by 11:00 AM EST on 25-November-2020 for all questions and concerns. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.
