The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Leydig, Voit & Mayer Ltd., Address: 180 N. Stetson Avenue, Suite 4900, Chicago, IL 60601-6745, for the purpose of procuring patent attorney services. This procurement is in support of an ongoing requirement for patents and intellectual property matters for innovative technologies. Only this source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because this firm has a range of technical expertise with patent agents and technical specialists. The firm has personnel that hold doctoral degrees in the science and engineering fields and prior history of working with the US Government on intellectual property matters. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Kimberly Humphrey, email address: khumphrey@fbi.gov by Thursday, December 12, 2019 (12:00 Eastern). Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
