Notice of Intent To Sole Source The Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) intends to establish a sole source contract with Vapor Stone Rail Systems, a Division of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp (WABTEC), located in Plattsburgh, NY, to provide the following: TITLE:   PATH PA-5 RAILCAR DOOR SYSTEM PARTSBRIEF DESCRIPTION:  Vapor Stone Rail Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the PATH PA-5 railcar door system and parts, including but not limited to, various wiring, motors, bearings, operator paneling controls, circuit assemblies, interfacing mechanisms, and emergency indicators. All materials must be compatible with existing parts and systems, and must comply with Federal Railroad Administration standards, where applicable. Firms who believe they can compete for this requirement are required to submit an email with a brief statement of their intent to compete. The statement and any other questions regarding this sole source should be directed to contact@example.gov by July 26, 2024.  The Port Authority does not guarantee that firms responding to this notice will be rendered a request to tender an offer for this procurement. In addition, the Port Authority does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement, but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
