Full Description
This notice is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and Notice of Intent to award sole source. The Government intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Trimble Maps, Inc for a one year base plus four option years for software license renewal for the Defense Table of Official Distances (DTOD) customized version of the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) PC*Miler/Worldwide software under the authority of FAR 6.103-1(b).
The DTOD program is an Office of the Secretary of War mandated program that is currently operated and managed by United States Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) on behalf of all DoW agencies and activities worldwide. The DTOD system is the single, automated, land mileage calculating program supporting vouchers and payments for worldwide DoW temporary duty (TDY) and permanent change of station (PCS) travel, freight movements, and personal property shipments. PC*Miler software provides distance calculations for all DoW agencies and employees and allows DTOD customers to simultaneously query data from multiple historical DTOD versions for auditing purposes. ARTRANS has the need to continue software support through the renewal of the software license for the customized version of the PC*Miler and Multi-Version Switch software used by the DTOD program.
