PEO Aviation has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry input on opportunities for Mission Systems Integrators (MSIs) to support an enterprise Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) across Army aviation platforms. The intent is to leverage Government-procured technical data, Government-developed capabilities, and industry systems in a way that improves affordability, readiness, capabilities, schedule adherence, and supply chain resilience. The MSI role is defined as an independent integrator capable of delivering a MOSA-compliant architecture that maximizes competition, incorporates open standards and interfaces, and supports long-term sustainment without requiring continued provider involvement. The integrator must coordinate with aircraft OEMs to ensure full integration with aircraft systems while addressing platform-specific constraints. The RFI includes two appendices: Appendix A covers all Army fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms, while Appendix B is focused on Future Vertical Lift platforms, including the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) and Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). Responses are limited to 25 pages per appendix and must be submitted electronically in compliance with detailed format and submission guidelines, including file size limits and prohibited classified information. Respondents are encouraged to provide comprehensive answers and updated company details such as size, ownership classification, and contact information. This RFI is issued solely for informational purposes to guide future acquisition strategy and does not constitute a solicitation, contract, or promise of government funding. Responses become government property and may be reviewed by support contractors under controlled release.
