Description of Work: Title: Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance: Health Product and Food Branch (HPFB) Health Product and Food Branch (HPFB) - IT Plan Initiatives The Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) reviews, regulates, and approves the use of thousands of health products and foods vital to the health and well-being of Canadians. As a science-based regulator, we play a stewardship role that seeks to combine the best evidence with the most effective tools to protect and promote the health of all Canadians through access to safe, high-quality health and food products and clear health information that is trusted in Canada and internationally. The Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) aims to better inform Canadians to help them make healthy choices by modernizing business efficiency and coordinating Information Technology (IT) systems with departmental strategies for pharmacovigilance and materiovigilance IT projects. As such, Health Canada Health Canada will require System Analyst(s) to gather requirements related to the feasibility, cost, design of the pharmacovigilance and materiovigilance IT programs/projects, Tester(s) to plan and coordinate interoperability, and Technology Architect(s) to build frameworks based on standards such as HL7. Information Task Authorizations (TA) will be issued against one (1) Service Outline Agreement to provide support to the Department’s Health Products and Food Branch and systems supporting pharmacovigilance and materiovigilance projects. Multiple TAs may be in process at any given time; as such, resources may be working on several concurrent projects and/or activities. A contractor is currently performing the work.
