Description of the Requirement:The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for the procurement of test equipment to be used for signal quality (Phase Noise) measurement of a system in a laboratory environment. It must be capable of operating in the HF frequency range (1 MHz – 200 MHz) and be compatible for testing various signal sources used in the HF radar systems. The radar system presently under development operates down to 3 MHz and therefore this phase noise test system is required to evaluate its components. It is being purchased as Minor Capital Equipment acquisition and may be used to evaluate various other components for future DRDC projects.
