THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the following: photopolymer plate material for currency production in both Washington, DC and Fort Worth, TX. The proposed contract action is a logical follow-on for the currency printing plate production equipment. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the following designated source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Accordingly, the BEP intends to award a contract to Flint Group Printing Systems US, 2401 Whitehall Park Drive Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28273 This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 12:00pm EST on Tuesday, January14, 2014. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other cost incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
