AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of 584 units of a threaded pin-rivet identified by NSN 5320-00-178-8724 under solicitation number SPE4A6-26-T-13E1, with delivery expected within 160 days, FOB origin. The item is designated as a commercial, critical application component, requiring compliance with detailed technical and quality requirements as specified in the DLA Master List, which takes precedence over packaging standards such as ASTM D3951. The contract mandates rigorous sampling, inspection, and acceptance procedures at origin, following standards like MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, with specific acceptance quality levels for critical, major, and minor attributes. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-129 marking and DLA packaging requirements to ensure proper handling and shipment. Multiple approved manufacturers are listed for this part, including SPS Technologies, Howmet Global Fastening Systems, Huck International, West Coast Aerospace, and others, reflecting a broad sourcing base. The contract specifies that no item unique identification is required, and there is no shelf life associated with the rivets. Tooling may be necessary for manufacturing, and assistance for casting or forging can be requested through specified DLA contacts. Deliveries are to be made to DLA Distribution Jacksonville with specific contact and shipment instructions provided. The contract is governed by DoD and DLA quality assurance and procurement procedures, with a strict no variance on quantity and detailed shipment and packaging protocols.
