AI Contract Overview
The contract covers the procurement of noise-filtering ear plugs designed for medical use, specifically foam-tipped, corded ear plugs with a plastic body and polymer-foam canal tips. Each ear plug features a locking ring that secures it to the earlobe at seven points, providing 28 dB noise reduction rating (NRR) when the filter is capped, and 14 dB NRR when uncapped. The ear plugs come in a medium size and are black in color, with a capped sound filter and a 26-inch lanyard. They are packaged with each pair sealed in a polybag and packed into a dispensing case, with each box containing 25 pairs. Packaging and shipping requirements mandate that each unit be properly sealed to protect contents from damage and suitable for safe transport at the lowest cost to the specified delivery point. The materials must be marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129. The contract calls for a total quantity of 10 boxes (each containing 25 pairs) to be delivered within 20 days after the date of order. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain and includes adherence to specified technical and quality standards referenced in the DLA Master List. The solicitation is open for response until March 2, 2026, and inquiries can be directed to the provided primary contact.
