AI Contract Overview
This contract calls for the procurement of four units of a machine thread plug, identified by NSN 5365-01-381-0847 and part number 39514S, to be delivered within five days to the specified destination at Newport News Shipbuilding, Virginia. The contract includes strict adherence to Department of Defense packaging, marking, and quality assurance standards such as MIL-STD-129 for marking, MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging, and sampling methods aligned with MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331. Inspection and acceptance of the delivered items will occur at the destination, with zero tolerance for non-conformances unless expressly noted. The solicitation is posted by the Department of Defense's Aviation Supply Chain ESOC BUYS, under solicitation number SPE4A0-26-T-2115, with key points-of-contact provided for communication. Delivery is FOB origin, with shipment instructions emphasizing the use of the fastest traceable means and excluding parcel post. The contract further mandates removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies and references ongoing adherence to the latest revisions of the DLA technical and quality master list applicable at the solicitation or award date. All packaging and palletization must meet DLA packaging requirements, and the delivery timetable is critical due to the item's intended use on the USS Harry S Truman (CVN 75).
