POCAHONTAS LIFT STATION REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The contract involves the replacement of the Pocahontas lift station and covers comprehensive construction and installation work. The project includes site preparation activities such as clearing, grubbing, and installing erosion and sedimentation controls. The main focus is the furnishing and installation of a corrosion-proof polymer concrete precast wet well using the caisson method, which requires excavation, assembly, and sealing of the wet well sections with watertight joints and retainer straps. A tremie pour method will be employed to seal the bottom, followed by a secondary pour with chamfered edges. The project scope also mandates buoyancy calculations, watertightness testing, and final backfilling to complete the structure. In addition to the wet well construction, the contract calls for the installation of two approximately 25 HP submersible, heavy-duty, explosion-proof, non-clog sewer pumps, including base elbows, stainless steel discharge piping, and a guide rail system. The scope further includes the installation of a pump control panel and all other necessary appurtenances required for the functioning of the lift station as per the provided plans and specifications. The solicitation, designated as ITB WS 52-26, is issued by the Water and Sewer agency in Florida with a response deadline set for May 27, 2026.
