Point Grondine Park - Outdoor Discovery Centre - Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory

Wikwemikong Development is seeking a qualified general contractor for the Point Grondine Park Outdoor Discovery Centre project located at 675 Highway 637, Killarney, ON. This stipulated price contract, based on CCDC2 2020 standards, involves the construction of several key structures including an amphitheatre, a large gazebo, a small gazebo, a moose prep area, and a boiling station area. The project also encompasses the development of new accessible walking trails, benches, and a large open gathering area for pow wows. All work must be completed by March 31, 2027, with a specific emphasis on completing scope items A and B first. The selection process is managed by an evaluation committee that considers factors beyond the lowest cost. Bids are scored based on understanding and methodology (30 points), price (25 points), First Nations participation (20 points), experience and references (15 points), and company profile (10 points). Proponents must submit their bids in PDF format via email by October 28, 2026. Required submission documents include a signed and sealed bid form, a project schedule, and a bid bond of at least 10 percent of the bid price. Additionally, the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, as well as general liability insurance of at least 10 million dollars and broad form all risk property insurance.
