Politico Pro Purchase

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Politico, LLC, 1000 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22209-3927, for a 2 Year Politico Pro News Subscription. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 511110 "NEWSPAPER PUBLISHERS" The period of performance for this procurement is a 09/01/2017 - 08/31/2019. As the sole proprietor of Politico Services, Politico. LLC. is the only contractor that can provide the news, policy reporting, and state/federal legislative tracking services. The purpose of the project is to continue to provide the required Politico Pro Subscription Agreement. Politico, LLC has not licensed or authorized any other parties to provide these services. Accordingly, because Politico, LLC is the original manufacturer, no other vendor can provide the required instrument maintenance. As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. We will issue only one solicitation to Politico, LLC, however, responsible sources that believe they can meet these requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice by providing a capability statement to the Contracting Specialist by June, 29, 2017. The Contracting Specialist will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the Contracting Specialist. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
