The U.S. Navy, through the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Joint Base MDL, New Jersey, intends to procure two Wide Band SATCOM (WBSC) Maintenance Stand Assemblies, two right-hand transport pallets, and eight left-hand transport pallets under contract number N68335-26-Q-1020 for use on the P-8A Poseidon program. The acquisition is planned as a sole-source procurement from MTech Aerospace, citing FAR 6.302-1 due to the likelihood of substantial cost duplication if competition were pursued, with no other source capable of meeting the Government’s specific requirements without inefficiency. The items fall under NAICS code 333923 for overhead traveling crane, hoist, and monorail system manufacturing, and the classification code 4920 for machinery and components. This notice is a presolicitation and not a request for proposals; it invites all responsible sources to submit capability statements or quotations by June 19, 2026, to demonstrate that competition could yield better outcomes for the Government. However, submission of responses does not guarantee a change in the government’s intent to proceed solely with MTech Aerospace. No contract will be awarded based on these submissions, and the final decision to forgo competition remains within the Government’s discretion. All inquiries must be directed to Contract Specialist Alexis Kelly at the provided email address.
