The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Lakehurst, NJ, intends to award a non-competitive contract to MTech Aerospace for the procurement of specialized equipment related to the US Navy’s P-8A Poseidon Program. The items include two Wide Band SATCOM Maintenance Stand Assemblies (P/N: MT24007001K-001), two right-hand transport pallets (P/N: MT24007800A-001), and eight left-hand transport pallets (P/N: MT24007800A-003). This acquisition is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, which allows sole-source contracting when only one responsible source is available and competition would result in substantial duplication of cost to the government. Although the notice is not a request for proposals, the agency welcomes capability statements, proposals, or quotations from any responsible sources by June 19, 2026, to assess whether competition could be beneficial in the future. The contract is categorized under NAICS code 333923 for overhead traveling crane, hoist, and monorail system manufacturing and is managed by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. All inquiries should be directed to the contract specialist, Alexis Kelly.
