Notice Type: Special Notice Notice of Proposed Contract Action This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), "Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available." The contracting officer has determined that only one source is reasonably available: Medtronic USA, Inc., a Large Business, located at 710 Medtronic Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55432, the only known source capable of meeting the requirement. The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for Medtronic Surgical Equipment for a Posterior Cervical Fusion surgery as follows: Qty 1: 2.4mm Drill Bit (Ref#: G3606010), Qty 10: Infinity Screws 3.5x16mm (Ref#: 3603516), Qty 2: Infinity Rods 3.5x90mm (Ref#: 3603790), Qty 12: Infinity Set Screws (Ref#: 3600315), Qty 2: Infinity screws 4.0x28mm (3604028) Surgical sales representative shall hand deliver items prior to scheduled procedure. Surgical sales representative shall provide guidance during procedure and have stock on-hand to meet patient needs as determined by surgeon during the procedure. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement.
