The purchase is at a cost of $33,600.00 4. Identification of statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition. a. FAR 6.302-1, only one source responsible and no other services will satisfy the Government b. 10 USC 2304(c)(2) 5. Demonstrate that the nature of the acquisition requires use of the authority cited. This procurement is for a purchase order to obtain power distribution unit panel / boxes. The statutory authority cited is FAR 6.302-1(2), the supplies are available from only one responsible source, the panel / boxes are specifically manufactured to meet the requirements and this is a custom made product. This request for purchase was posted on GSA Ebuy as well as FBO. Several vendors were also contacted and we received replies that LEX stated it was not in their best interest to provide the technical data to other vendors so that they could reproduce this product.
