AI Contract Overview
The contract solicitation SPE2DH-26-T-3528 calls for the procurement of one unit of a POWER SUPPLY STERILIZER identified by NSN 6530-01-501-1307 and end item identification 6530-01-501-1012, with a unit price of $251.41 and delivery required within five days after delivery order at FOB DESTINATION to the Carrier Outfitting Material Support Center in Suffolk, Virginia, ZIP 23435-5000. All packaging must adhere to commercial standards as outlined in the procurement document, with each unit sealed in a protective container and packed in commercial shipping containers suitable for safe transport via common carriers at the lowest cost; export packaging is required when necessary. Marking and labeling must comply with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes MIL-STD-129 for all medical acquisitions, and requires machine-readable 2D Data Matrix barcodes for traceability. Hazardous materials must bear labels consistent with 29 CFR 1910.1200 unless governed by specific federal statutes such as FIFRA or TSCA, and suppliers must submit hazard warning labels and Material Safety Data Sheets prior to award. The item is subject to stringent cybersecurity requirements under DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171, mandating implementation of safeguards for covered defense information, reporting cyber incidents, and submitting assessment scores to the Supplier Performance Risk System. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination, performed by the government, with compliance governed by FAR 52.246-2. All contractors must maintain an active System for Award Management registration, validate UEI and CAGE codes, and make required socioeconomic certifications including small business, veteran-owned, or HUBZone status as applicable. The contract includes provisions for safeguarding government information, whistleblower protections, limitations on compensation of former DoD officials, and compliance with transportation and packaging requirements, while the contract type will be finalized by the contracting officer upon award. Offers must be submitted electronically via DIBBS by May 7, 2026, and are evaluated without specified weighting criteria, with award likely based on technical acceptability and price given the simplified acquisition context.
