The U.S. Embassy in Ankara is preparing to solicit commercial-grade Apple iPhone smartphones for official government use, with all devices required to be new, original equipment sourced exclusively through Apple Turkey and legally imported into Turkey. Each phone must be properly registered with Turkey’s Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) via IMEI compliance and must come with a manufacturer warranty from Apple Turkey lasting at least two years. Refurbished, remanufactured, grey-market, or unauthorized products are strictly prohibited. Delivery must be made directly to the Embassy in Ankara, and full technical specifications and submission procedures will be detailed in a forthcoming Request for Quotations under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures.
