M67854-13-R-1038 - Pre-solicitation synopsis/ Scout Sniper Day Scope (SSDS) Improved Mount. This announcement constitutes the pre-solicitation synopsis. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), located at 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of the SSDS improved mount. The current solution is a two-piece set of scope rings that requires the use of a tool for weapon mounting. The goal of this procurement is to procure a one piece mounting solution that does not require the use of tools for rail attachment for the following weapon platforms: M110, M107, and M40A5. Formal offers are not being requested at this time and will be requested when the final solicitation is issued. A formal solicitation will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities website: www.fbo.gov, as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging any information concerning this requirement on or about 15 January 2013.
