NASA/NSSC is seeking precision cleaning and calibration services for select mission-critical hardware, including gauges, load pins, and measurement hardware, to support the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The government intends to award a sole source contract to Precision Fabricating & Cleaning Company, Inc. under the authority of FAR 12.102(a), as they have been determined to be the sole provider capable of meeting these requirements. This procurement is classified under NAICS code 541380 and will be conducted as an acquisition of commercial items or services per FAR Part 12. The contractor must adhere to strict KSC protocols for handling, packaging, contamination control, and clean-side transfer, ensuring all work meets KSC/NASA technical specifications and acceptance criteria. All returned hardware must be accompanied by required certifications, documentation, and traceable quality records. KSC will provide all necessary specialized soft goods, O-rings, seals, and proprietary hardware to prevent unauthorized substitutions. While a sole source is intended, the government is requesting capability statements by 2:00 p.m. CST on October 20, 2026, to determine if the procurement should instead be conducted on a competitive basis. The primary point of contact for this effort is Procurement Specialist II Laura Quave.
