The contract FA8620-05-G-3028-0051 is a modification to the existing Basic Ordering Agreement with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for the Predator MQ-1B and Reaper MQ-9 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) ASIP Integration Phase II. This effort involves the follow-on integration and testing of the Advanced Systems Improvement Program (ASIP) on these UAS platforms. The contract is to be awarded on a sole source basis due to the Government’s lack of data rights for the system, which prevents competition and duplication of costs. The work will be performed in Poway, California, aligning with the NAICS code 336413, which covers guided missile and space vehicle manufacturing, and small business status will be evaluated based on a size standard of 1,000 employees. Interested subcontractors can submit their information directly to GA-ASI, with specific points of contact provided for contract administration and technical inquiries based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. The contracting officer overseeing the modification is Angela E. Nalley-Swallow. The contracting action includes provisions for small business considerations, requiring submission of DUNS and CAGE codes. An ASC Ombudsman is also designated to assist with acquisition-related issues. This contract supports the incremental improvement and continued advancement of critical UAS capabilities to enhance operational effectiveness.
