Premise Wiring B246 & B414

The contract requires a small business contractor to engineer, furnish, install, and test the upgrade of premise wiring infrastructure to Cat-6 standard in Buildings 246 and 414 at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The scope includes installing approximately 24 cable/jack connections in B246 with 12 duplex ports and 12 cable/jack connections in B414 with a mix of 3 duplex, 1 quad, and 2 wall drops, all terminating from the MDF copper terminal 66 block to a 24-port patch panel in the LAN cabinet using 25-pair, 24-gauge riser cable. All work must coordinate with the 14th CS/SCXP point of contact to confirm exact drop locations, and existing outdated wiring must be removed and properly disposed of. The contractor must use Panduit-branded components for jacks, faceplates, box outlets, and raceways, with all jacks colored orange and labeled to match the corresponding patch panel port (1–24/48). Patch panels and equipment must be permanently labeled per Columbus AFB standards outlined in Appendices A and B, and all installations must comply with ANSI/TIA telecommunications standards and base-specific requirements. The project has a 90-day performance period after award, with normal work hours aligned with base operations, but off-hours work may be necessary if service interruptions are required, pending at least two days' coordination with the base POC. The contractor must provide a quality control plan, an installation test plan compliant with CDRL A005, and an installation test report per CDRL A006, including pre-testing, in-progress testing, post-testing, and a cutover plan, all to be demonstrated in the presence of a government quality assurance representative.
