Prequalification for Snəkʷəməɬəɬ (Nicomekl Riverfront) Park - Oxbow Construction

The City of Surrey has issued a Request for Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications (solicitation number 1220-050-2026-006) to prequalify contractors for the Snəkʷəməɬəɬ (Nicomekl Riverfront) Park - Oxbow Construction project. Located at 3600 King George Blvd and 14539 Winter Crescent in British Columbia, the project involves complex construction within a riverfront environment, including site preparation, environmental protection, and the delivery of civil park elements such as bridges, boardwalks, and ecological restoration. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Summer 2027. This process is for prequalification purposes and does not constitute a contract. Prequalified firms must demonstrate the ability to provide General Liability Insurance of at least 5,000,000 CAD and disclose their capacity for bid, performance, and labour and material payment bonds. The City maintains sole discretion in selecting preferred respondents based on the submitted statements of qualifications.
