Prequalification: Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex - Expansion and Relocation

The City of Raleigh is seeking the prequalification of first-tier subcontractors for Bid Package 03 - Concrete as part of the Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex Expansion and Relocation. This CM At-Risk project, managed by a joint venture of Clancy & Theys, Skanska, and D.A. Everett, involves the construction of a 322,000 square foot expansion at the current Red Hat Amphitheater site. The new facility will be connected to the existing convention center via sky bridges and will include a 50,000 square foot flex hall, an 18,000 square foot flex hall, a commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and various administration and support spaces. The project is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2026 with a total projected duration of 36 months. This solicitation, numbered 274-2027-RCPAC-03, is strictly for subcontractor prequalification and not for the submission of bids. To be eligible, firms must score at least 70 percent based on an evaluation of their financial strength, bonding capacity, safety history, and prior performance on projects of similar complexity and cost.
