The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Media Support Activity (MSA) project in Macedonia, aiming to strengthen independent, balanced, and professional journalism. The project focuses on three main objectives: fostering investigative journalism and improving access to public data for journalists and civil society, enhancing media literacy among the public to support informed participation and critical evaluation of media content, and safeguarding the rights and safety of journalists and media organizations. Additionally, the broader media portfolio within which MSA operates seeks to increase pluralism and transparency in the media environment through diverse content production. This notice serves as a presolicitation announcement in compliance with federal acquisition regulations, informing potential offerors of the upcoming opportunity while clarifying that it does not obligate the government to issue a formal RFP or award a contract. The solicitation and contract award depend on fund availability and USAID internal approvals. Interested parties are encouraged to register as vendors and monitor the FEDBIZOPPS website for updates and the official solicitation release but should refrain from submitting proposals or inquiries until the formal RFP is posted. The project will be managed through USAID's Kosovo office, with performance centered in Skopje, Macedonia.
