Full Description

The United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, located in Kearneysville, West Virginia intends to issue a sole source purchase order with four option years to GE Healthcare, 800 Centennial Avenue, Piscataway, NJ for a continued maintenance agreement for the following mission critical equipment: GE Healthcare Typhoon 9200, Model# 63005850, Serial Number 95116. Maintenance and repair shall be provided by trained service engineers/technicians who are manufacturer certified to provide all required and emergency service calls to include parts, labor, travel, and one annual planned onsite maintenance visit to provide manufacturer recommended service. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources with demonstrated technical and financial capabilities to provide the required maintenance and corrective repair to the equipment specified may submit a written substantive statement detailing the following capabilities: 1) demonstrated specialized knowledge and technical capability to successfully provide maintenance and corrective repair to the equipment specified, 2) demonstrated technical capability to provide manufacturer trained service technicians with qualifications and certifications to provide maintenance and corrective repair to the equipment specified, 3) demonstrated ability to obtain replacement parts for the equipment specified in this notice, 4) demonstrated ability to provide technical telephone support for the equipment specified in this notice, and 5) demonstrated past performance on similar maintenance and corrective repair involving equipment specified. Written substantive statements addressing all capabilities specified in this notice shall be submitted to the identified point of contact within 7 days of publication of this notice. This is a notice of intent, not a request for proposal, and a solicitation will not be issued. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
