NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity Healthcare Contracting Division, Southeast (DHACA-HCD-SE), plans to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to Dräger, Inc. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR 12.102(a) “For acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), document the decision that only one source is available and the basis for the decision" as Dräger, Inc is the only responsible source capable of providing preventative maintenance and repairs on Anesthesia equipment that meet the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s requirements. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, supervision, transportation, and services necessary to effectively, economically, and satisfactorily perform all services for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment for Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL), NC.
Program Requirements: The contractor will be required to provide Inspections, Preventative Maintenance and Calibrations on a 12-month cycle per the OEM. Upon award the contractor can reach out to the (MTF) Medical Treatment Facilities BIOMEDICAL team to receive the predetermined maintenance plans already assigned at NMCCL Camp Lejeune Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

A determination by the government is not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
