AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the 2025 Trash Capture Feasibility Project initiated by the Marin Countywide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (MCSTOPPP). The primary objective is to engage a qualified engineering and design firm to conduct feasibility studies across seventeen stormwater sub-watersheds, or Trash Management Areas (TMAs), as outlined in the project maps. The studies aim to identify the most effective locations, configurations, and types of certified full trash capture devices suitable for installation, with a preference for large, multi-benefit treatment solutions. However, the contract allows for the consideration of smaller devices if they meet environmental, technical, or logistical requirements for specific TMAs. The project emphasizes selecting environmentally compliant and technically feasible trash capture solutions to improve stormwater management and reduce debris entering water bodies. The solicitation was posted on May 8, 2025, with a response deadline of June 20, 2025. The contract value ranges from $500,000 to $2,000,000, reflecting the scope and complexity of the feasibility assessments. The project is managed by the County of Marin in California, and interested firms can access additional details and submit responses through the designated bidding platform. The initiative underscores the county’s commitment to sustainable stormwater management and pollution prevention through targeted infrastructure improvements.
