Probation Youth Treatment and Education Center (YTEC) Exercise Yard Fencing Replacement

The Riverside Alan M. Crogan Youth Treatment and Education Center (YTEC) is located at 10000 County Farm Road. The existing chain-link fencing at the exercise yard is deemed to be insufficient to provide adequate security to protect the YTEC facility, therefore, requires replacement. The scope of work for the Project includes but is not limited to: demolition and removal of the existing fencing material; installation of 11-gauge ½” anti-climb chain-link to be supported by existing posts and rails; installation of a new 24” razor wire on top of the fencing and reinstallation of the existing black screen over the new chain-link fence. The replacement of the exercise yard fencing at YTEC is identified as the proposed project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The operation of the facility will continue to provide probation services and will not result in an expansion of existing use. No additional direct or indirect physical environmental impacts are anticipated.
