The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded an $84,500,000 Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) follow-on contract to the Lockheed Martin Corporation, at the following address: Lockheed Martin Corporation, 459 Kennedy Dr, Archbald, PA 18403-1527, for the procurement of Enhanced Laser Guided Training Rounds (ELGTRs) for the replenishment of war reserve inventory. The contract ordering period is for four years and work will be performed in Archbald, PA. Navy contract funds in the amount of $18,582,062 are being obligated. This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Lockheed Martin Corporation is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the ELGTR weapon system and its related equipment. Lockheed Martin alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, facilities, and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. Accordingly, Lockheed Martin is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein.
