The Ouachita USDA Service Center sustained smoke and chemical debris damage from a fire in an adjacent business in December 2019. FSA and NRCS require that all folders in which records are located in need to be sanitized by physical wipe down by a professional service cleaning company along with sanitization of all furniture, equipment, and files to ensure they are safe for our employees to handle and would pose no safety and/or health concerns from the smoke and chemical debris damage. This work must be done before employees can return to the office. The USDA service center sustained fire damage from a business located in the same building. The selected vendor can meet the agency's urgent timeframe to perform restoration services so that the employees may return to the office. USDA service center employees have been displaced since December 2019, and are unable to return to the building until it is certified to be safe and free of any potential health hazards. The two vendors that submitted bids performed clean-up services for the landlord and are familiar with the offices and what needs to be done and are able to begin work immediately.
