This contract involves a modification to an existing task order awarded competitively in 2011 to HP Enterprise Services, LLC, the sole maintainer of the Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS). The modification addresses the need to make programming changes to the FISS screen to properly support J4 demonstration hospitals whose CMS Certification Numbers (CCNs) fall outside the previously supported range for HITECH incentive payments. Specifically, hospitals with CCNs from 0880 to 0899 are eligible for HITECH payments as inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) hospitals located within the 50 states, but the current FISS configuration does not accommodate these numbers. The change request, identified as CR 7071, is in its final status and aims to update the FISS interface to include these additional J4 demo hospitals. The task order and subsequent modification are governed by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16 procedures. The place of performance is Baltimore, Maryland, and the contract falls under the NAICS code 541512, which pertains to computer systems design services. Points of contact for this contract include Nathaniel M. Barbato and Contract Specialist Candice Savoy, who are responsible for managing communications related to the modification.
