The contract outlines the procurement of a biological protection kit designed to shield users from direct exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and airborne infectious diseases. Each kit includes a disposable fluid barrier gown, one pair of latex gloves, a maximum protection face mask, hair cover, boot covers, a hand wipe, a biohazard bag, and fluid solidifying powder. The kits must be commercially packaged as specified, with each complete unit sealed in a container that safeguards against damage during shipment. Labels must include the date of manufacture, expiration or retest date, contract number, and lot number, adhering to the latest MMS1A revision. The contract references detailed technical and quality requirements accessible through the DLA’s Master List and includes specific packaging, marking, and removal of government identification instructions for non-accepted supplies. The procurement is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain MD Surg FSF, with the place of performance in Robstown and a primary point of contact provided for further communications.
