************************************************************************
The vast majority of Canada’s seabed is not under the custodianship of a specific Minister, as a result without a formal custodian, the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act makes PSPC the default custodian of any federal seabed. Increasing interest in Canada’s seabed and its resources has created a need for PSPC to evaluate a management approach and identify its resourcing needs for the seabed. The overarching objective is to provide PSPC with a recommendation on how to manage its custodial seabed (also referred to as submerged lands).
