Public Available Specification (PAS) 63100 Amendment and Review

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero has awarded a contract to BSI Standards Limited for the amendment and full review of Public Available Specification (PAS) 63100, which governs the installation of domestic battery energy storage systems. The project will be executed using the British Standards Institution's established processes to ensure the standards for home batteries are current and accurate. The contract was granted via direct award for a total value of 219,916.25 GBP excluding VAT. The performance period began on October 21, 2026, and is scheduled to run through October 20, 2028, with the possibility of a 12-month extension. This agreement establishes the governing terms, pricing schedules, and specifications required to complete the revision of the PAS 63100 standard.
