Period of Performance

March 1, 2026 through April 30, 2037, including option periods aligned with the current MCC lease agreement.

Market Research

Market research was conducted on alternative parking facilities in the surrounding area. The research concluded that no other nearby garages could provide the required number of parking spaces within a comparable price range.

Interested Sources

No additional sources expressed written interest in the requirement.

Actions to Increase Competition

At this time, no barriers to competition have been identified that can reasonably be removed prior to a subsequent acquisition.

Spaceport Infrastructure Maintenance and Operations (SIMO)NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is seeking information from qualified sources to maintain and operate facilities, systems, equipment, and utilities (FSEU) at KSC and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station under the Spaceport Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Operations (SIMO) contract. This fixed-price contract, slated to begin no earlier than April 2027, is designed to replace the current Base Operations and Spaceport Services (BOSS) contract with expanded and redefined requirements. NASA will assume full engineering responsibility for FSEU, including analysis, system evaluations, and corrective actions, while also managing continuous spaceport integration activities such as scheduling, outage coordination, and infrastructure impact management. The contract also includes construction support services and coordination with workforce planning and project administration. SIMO will support over 30 customers from government and commercial sectors across approximately 220 square miles in Florida. The scope encompasses preventive, reactive, and operational maintenance services across roughly 900 facilities, covering various systems such as power, security, HVAC, fire suppression, plumbing, water management, and transportation infrastructure. Logistics services involving supply, equipment, disposal, and transportation management will be provided along with technical support activities like work control, environmental compliance, configuration management, and excavation support. Maintenance Support Requests (MSRs) are structured as fixed-price efforts based on craft labor hours, with categories ranging from under 1 hour to over 100 hours of work. NASA encourages submissions from all firms, including small and disadvantaged businesses, with detailed capability statements due by July 1, 2026.
