This is a notice of intent, not a request for proposal. National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on other than full and open competition bases with Oxford University Press, 198 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016-4308 for publication of 8 articles that highlight the broad range of diagnostic, management prevention and surveillance issues on Tuberculosis (TB) surrounding HIV-infected and HIV-uninfected adults and children globally. These articles must be published and distributed in the Clinical Infectious Diseases (CID). The journal must work with the authors to ensure that the 8 publications are proofed and that the correct articles, diagrams, pictures, and charts are sourced according to internationally recognized copyright provisions. It is the only company capable of fulfilling the requirements. Oxford University Press is the sole publisher and provider of the journals for Infectious diseases. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 ( C ) (1) As implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
