The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking to procure five specialized pump units to serve as deep insurance spares for the National Security Cutter Bertholf. The required equipment includes a chilled water service pump, a fire main and flushing system pump, a portable water system pump, a potable water system pump, and an auxiliary seawater cooling pump. Due to the proprietary nature of the technical data and drawings, the government believes the Carver Pump Company is the sole source capable of ensuring the proper fit, form, and function of these components. The estimated value of this procurement is 115,995.00 dollars, with delivery set as FOB Destination to Baltimore, Maryland. Strict packaging and marking requirements are mandated for all units, requiring each pump to be wrapped in clear plastic with desiccant packs and bolted inside an individual wooden crate to prevent shifting during commercial shipment. While the government intends to procure directly from the original equipment manufacturer, other capable sources may submit engineering data or proof of prior government manufacturing to demonstrate their ability to meet the physical and functional characteristics of the required units. This action is categorized under NAICS code 333911 and is managed by the Department of Homeland Security.
