PUMPS FOR LIFT STATIONS

The U.S. Embassy in Nouakchott, Mauritania is seeking to procure pumps for lift stations under a combined synopsis/solicitation issued as a Request for Quotation, identified by solicitation number 19MR6026Q0006. The procurement follows FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial items and is not subject to any set-aside restrictions. Technical specifications require durable epoxy-coated cast iron housing with corrosion-resistant baked-on epoxy powder coating, stainless steel motor shafts and hardware, dual mechanical shaft seals using carbon/ceramic and silicon carbide/carbon materials or tandem seals with Buna-N elastomers, and a “Star” type stainless steel cutter and plate hardened to Rockwell C55-60 with a protective ring to extend cutter life. Submersible motors must feature Class F insulation with double-dipped and baked windings, Class F end connections and lead wires, thermal overload protection with automatic reset for single-phase operation, and a patented moisture detection system with upper and lower probes. All units must include a standard 8-meter (25-foot) cord. Performance parameters specify a maximum solid size of 51 mm (2 inches), a head range of 1.5 to 7.0 meters (5 to 23 feet), and a maximum flow rate of 8.0 liters per second at minimum head. Model-specific requirements include service factors of 1.2 and power inputs ranging from 3.2 kW to 5.3 kW depending on the model, with discharge sizes of 1.25-inch NPT. Award will be granted to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror, with no formal price schedule or quantities published in the solicitation.
