Purchase Analog Optical Base Boards

DESC: Notice of Contrac Action: The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZIOA), Edwards AFB intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to TC Communications, Inc. The applicable NAICS Code is 334210. The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirements: The government requires 12 ea., Analog Optical Base Boards, P/N: TC8002S-01ST-04-12, as manufactured by TC Communications, Inc. The corresponding External Power Adapters (North American Type), 12 ea., P/N TC3PS-TB-25-01, also required. The requested analog optical base boards are needed to support the requirement to re-transmit telemetry embedded hot microphone audio (during test missions) to chase aircraft . The following is a basic description of the requirement: 12 ea., Analog Optical Base Board, 4-wire analog (600 Ohm Terminal Blocks, 300Hz to 3.4Kz), 4-chan RJ11F per board, 850nm Multimode/ST (15dB loss budget), 12 VDC, Standalone. A list of specifications is attached to this Notice to further define the requirement. A Request for Sole Source Purchase Justification is also attached. There are no solicitation documents; however, contractors that feel they can meet this requirement should submit a complete technical package, providing clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the requirement. In addition, the response should include verification of the Offeror's Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, go to http://www.sam.gov/ to load required information. Any responses received without completing this registration will be considered noncompliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses must be received no later than August 30, 2012, 12:00 PM PST. Responses shall be submitted electronically at john.wagner@edwards.af.mil , unless otherwise agreed upon submission terms. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
