Alameda Municipal Power (AMP), a department of the City of Alameda, is seeking to establish a contract for the procurement of various electrical transformers used in its distribution network, including single-phase pad mount, single-phase pole mount, and three-phase pad mount transformers. The initial purchase is planned for between October and December 2025, with the total contract value estimated between 500,000 and 2,000,000 dollars. AMP is also requesting price quotations for subsequent purchases over the next three years, with pricing adjustments to be made based on vendor-proposed indices, preferably publicly available indices such as those from the Bureau of Industrial Statistics, unless otherwise specified. The solicitation, numbered MS 07-25-03, was posted on August 15, 2025, with responses due by September 4, 2025. Awards will be based on firm price quotations, and not all transformer types may be procured simultaneously. Vendors are encouraged to include any exceptions, particularly if they propose alternative indices for price adjustments. The contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of transformers for AMP’s distribution needs, with a focus on transparent pricing mechanisms and long-term procurement planning.
