THIS REQUEST IS RESERVED FOR HOLDERS OF SUPPLY ARRANGEMENT # E60PV-19EQUI ONLY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF LABORATORY AND SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT, PARTS AND ACCESSORIES, SERVICES AND SUPPLIES.
Only Suppliers currently pre-qualified on Supply Arrangement E60PV-19EQUI have been invited to bid.
As a requirement of the Supply Arrangement, this notice is published on Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) for a period of 40 calendar days. The closing date published on this notice identifies how long the notice will be published. For the closing date of any solicitation under the supply arrangement, invited suppliers should refer to the solicitation documents.
Suppliers that do not have a Supply Arrangement for the supply of Laboratory and Scientific Equipment, Parts and Accessories, Services and Supplies with Public Works and Government Services Canada, cannot submit a bid. Any bids received from suppliers not pre-qualified on the Supply Arrangement will not be evaluated.
Suppliers may qualify under Supply Arrangement E60PV-19EQUI for Laboratory and Scientific Equipment, Parts and Accessories, Services and Supplies, at any time. Interested suppliers should download solicitation document E60PV-19EQUI/D from CanadaBuys (SAP Ariba) and submit a response as per the requirements of the Request for Supply Arrangement.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has a requirement for six (6) fume hoods.
The mandatory technical criteria are:

M2 Base Cabinet Dimensions (combined)
Five (5): 6ft FH: 72.5"Wx28.25"Hx26"D
One (1): 5ft FH: 60.5"Wx28.25"Hx26"D
Allowances:
Height and width and depth measurements must be within 1/2 inch.
M3 Hood Services must include a polypropylene cup sink with P-trap
M4 Hood Services must include Remote control service valves
M5 Hood Services must include gooseneck faucet
M6 Hood Services must include sash stop @ 18"
M7 Hood Services must include removable rear baffle
M8 Hood Services must include polypropylene rectangular transition to 12"Ø
M9 Hood Services must include two 120V/20A electrical duplex receptacles
M10 Hood Services must include clear polycarbonate sash
M11 Fume hoods must comply with CSAZ316.5:20 – Fume Hoods and Associated Exhaust Systems. Documentation that demonstrates the fume hoods comply must be provided.
M12 Fume hoods must be tested prior to contract award in accordance with ASHRAE 110-2016 at the manufacturing plant for:
- Tracer Gas: Tracer gas is introduced 6 inches behind the sash at a rate of 4 liters per minute. A sensor located outside the work zone monitors for gas leakage from the hood face. The "Personnel Protection Factor" shall be less than 4.0 AM at less than 0.1 PPM, in the center, right and left sides of the work access opening.
- Face Velocity: Measured velocity shall fall within 80-120 feet per minute
- Smoke Patterns: A smoke source is passed around the periphery of the access opening. No reverse flow or refluxing shall occur.
- Saturation Smoke Test: Release of a large volume of smoke shall result in total containment.
Documentation that demonstrates the fume hoods comply must be provided.
The responsive bidder already holding a Supply arrangement for Laboratory and Scientific Equipment, Parts and Accessories, Services and Supplies from Public Works and Government Services Canada who meets the mandatory technical criteria with the lowest aggregate price will be recommended for contract award.
