PWC Mosquito Raptor Mew Build

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the construction of four raptor mews at Mosquito Lake State Park. The project requires the contractor to handle all grading, excavation, framing, roofing, flooring, utility installation, and finishing work. The scope includes two 12x16 foot mews and two 8x8 foot mews, all featuring 3-inch pea gravel floors and reinforced welded-wire mesh with pressure-treated lumber framing. Specific requirements include species-appropriate enclosure heights of 8 to 10 feet, viewing mesh areas, raptor perches, and drainage considerations. One of the larger mews must also include interior lighting and two wall outlets. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with preferences applied for Buy American, Buy Ohio, and certified veteran-friendly businesses. The successful contractor must provide a performance bond equal to or greater than the total contract payments and maintain commercial general liability and business automobile liability insurance with a minimum aggregate limit of 2 million dollars. Additionally, the contractor must comply with Ohio prevailing wage laws and ensure all services are performed within the United States. Invoices must be submitted to Financial Shared Services with the identifier Origin-DNR-N13, and payments are generally due within 30 calendar days of acceptance.
