The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source procurement with Diamedix under the authority 6.302-1. This proposed contract action is for a Cost-Per-Test contract for a DSX Automated System with Reagent Rack or equal brand and related consumable supplies to be supplied at the Department Of Veterans Affairs, Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems, Sepulveda, 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, CA 91343. The Contractor shall provide all supplies, equipment, maintenance/repair and training to meet the Cost-Per-Test requirement. Period of performance shall be a base year and four option years.. The VA believes that Diamedix is the only company that can provide the unique Immunoassay System required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than February 6, 2009 at 2:00PM. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above Cost-Per-Test requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely by the discretion of the Government.
