AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential contractors capable of providing comprehensive Tele-Radiology Services for the Temple VA Central Texas Healthcare System. These services include interpretation of various diagnostic imaging exams such as mammograms, general radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET/CT, nuclear stress tests, and general nuclear studies. The VA requires vendors to offer STAT and routine reading capabilities, subspecialty expertise, secure electronic transmission of images in compliance with HIPAA and VA policies, and preferably 24/7 coverage by board-certified radiologists. This notice is strictly for information gathering and does not constitute a request for proposals or quotes, nor does it guarantee any contract award. Interested vendors are asked to submit detailed information about their company, including relevant certifications, experience with Tele-Radiology services—especially for federal clients—and their ability to meet turnaround times. Submissions should also address security protocols for patient information and provide any feedback on the draft Performance Work Statement. Responses are to be submitted by May 8, 2026, to the designated Contracting Officer at the VA. This process aims to assist the VA in understanding the current market capabilities before proceeding with a formal solicitation.
