PPSC is seeking a Consultant to facilitate accessing and incorporating Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit into its prosecution files. The Consultant will be an Inuk under the Nunavut Agreement and familiar with Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit in advance of the contract award. The Consultant will identify and engage with Inuit elders in communities where assigned files arise, to gain a community-specific perspective on assigned files. Results from community consultation will be used for consideration by crown counsel in assessing specific files and to assist in crafting appropriate sentencing recommendations for consideration by the Nunavut Court of Justice (“NCJ”).
